It's that time of year again where I offer our Famous "All Skills Classes" at a much reduced price. In this class, everyone works on whatever project they are working on, getting help where they need. Or perhaps you've got a basket of UFO's that you need help getting over the hump, We will help you work on whatever you need to.

It is my hopes that everyone will ramp up and get a giant headstart on knitting their Christmas list. I don't want any stressed knitters, the week before Christmas wondering how they will finish what's left in their knitting basket.

We've got a great Holiday Gift Class today from 3-5pm. A cute pair of slippers for everyone on your list. Double stranded worsted, or Hand-dyed Chunky. Wool, Acrylic and even Alpaca. You'll be able to whip out a dozen pairs before you know. Perfect for those on your list who you want to spend time on, but you don't have enough time to knit a sweater.

It's getting spooky this weekend at Knitique. Come join us on Saturday, September 11th from 3-6pm to knit this season's spooktacular washcloth. Tonight is late night knitting from 6-8pm. Come bring your friends and your knitting projects to be finished for some good fun and merriment.

Our Second Sunday Chemo cap event is coming up again this weekend. We just had a wonderful customer donate a bunch of yarn for us to make this wonderful hats. So far 7000 hats have been made and donated. That is just amazing that we have so many dedicated knitters among us! Lets keep up the good work and knit knit knit!

Beautiful

There is nothing sweeter than seeing my hand knits on a beautiful baby girlie. It seems like a lifetime ago that my baby girl would wear whatever I knit. Now that she's a big 11 year old, she is choosy about what she wear. Even though I see her as a little girl, she's blossoming into a tall almost teen.

So knit the adorable cute Swing Coat while you can. Knit for your hope chest for that "someday" grandchild. I've got a chest full of hand knits for future grandchildren. There is something so satisfying about finishing a project lickety-split. Nothing faster to practice your growing knitting skills on.

Our class is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 16,23 & 30th from3-5pm. It goes up to a generous size 3 and is perfect for the upcoming season. If you are a working girl, not to worry, you can always take this class in our Thursday Night, 6-8pm All Skills Knitting Clinic, or our Sunday Afternoon, 1-3pm,All Skills Knitting Clinic.

When You Need a Little Help From a Friend

All Skills Knitting Clinic

A new series of All Skills Knitting/Crochet Clinic starts next week. This is one of the most popular classes in our class line-up. It's been so popular we've had to add another day of classes. We consistently have people sign up for months at a time. I believe when you are in the shop on a regular basis and you have 2 hours of devoted time by a fabulous teacher you become a much better knitter. You are willing to try new projects because you have the safety net of having someone help you and fix your mistakes.

In September we will be offering the All Skills Knitting/Crochet Clinic four days a week.

Wednesdays 12-2pm September 1,8,15,22&29 $75.00

Thursday 6-8pm September 2,16,23&30 $75.00

Fridays 12-2 pm September 3,10,17&24 $60.00

Sundays 1-3 pm September 5,12,19&26 $60.00

If you sign up for the entire month you get the discounted rate as shown. You are also welcome, if there is room in the session to sign up for individual classes which are $20.00/2 hour class.

New Books

Calling all book lovers!!

This week has been a busy one with new books to come into the shop. In the last two days we have received 4 new books. There is a fabulous new Debbie Bliss book called, The Knitter's Year. This one is sectioned off by season which is great when you want to make something a few seasons before to use or wear later. This is great for Christmas gifts as well.

If you enjoyed Last Minute Knitted gifts than you are really going to enjoy the second in this series. More Last Minute knitted gifts gives you a wide range of ideas to make for all your family and friends as well as yourself. This book has sections based on time so if you only have a few hours it will give you great ideas for projects.

For all of you Washcloth lovers there is a new book called, More than a dozen dishcloths. This has some really great dishcloths with a "scrubby" type side and a "softer" side. This is a great book to make up some great dishcloth and soap baskets as gifts

Christmas is around the corner and we have a new Christmas stocking book that is flying off the shelves. So come on down and check it out, Christmas is just around the corner and now is a great time to think about all those little ones in your family who are in need of a Christmas stocking for Santa to fill with all of his goodies. These make great presents and are more than just your typical stocking.

Washcloth of the month class

Good Afternoon Everyone!

The Washcloth of the Month class is coming up this Saturday, August 21st from 3 to 6pm.

This month we will be doing a mystery pattern. If you are a bit curious to what it will look like then sign up for the class and come join us for an afternoon of fun knitting. The class is free, the only cost will be for the materials. There is some prework to be done so come in soon to get all of your materials and unfold this mystery design.

Movie Night

Movie night is coming up again, this month the movie of choice is Eat Pray Love with Julia Roberts. Come join the fun on Saturday August 21st, 6pm after the mystery washcloth class. We will be meeting at the shop and then off to the movie and possibly dinner beforehand. See you all there!

Teen Knits

Be sure to join us every Wednesday Night for late night from 6-8pm. We've had another shipment of Needle felted scarf kits come in. There are some incredible new colors as well as restock of the most favorites. Come on in, the shops cool, and the vibe is hip.

Silk Needle-Felted Scarf Class

Upcoming Class: Needle Felted Silk Scarf. Everyone has been asking what the scarf was that I'm wearing in my new Facebook Photo. This is one of those projects that are easy and fun. No knitting skills are necessary.

You can be as creative as you want. If you are worried you won't be enough of an artist to create one of these masterpieces, no worries I'll give you all the tips and tricks to make it look like a professional created it.

Class will be July 30th from 6-9pm or July 31st from 3-6pm. Cost of the class is $65.00 and includes the Silk Scarf Kit. You will also need a Needle Felting Tool and Needle Felting Brush. Both will be available at a 10% discount and are needed for the class.

FREE Washcloth class this Saturday, July 8th

You are just in time to join us for our FREE Monthly washcloth class this Saturday, July 8th from 4-6pm. . I'll post a picture when I get to Knitique. In this class you will learn to use 3 colors for an easy reversible washcloth. Want to transition the pattern into a scarf, not a problem, it's beautiful for a man's or woman's scarf. Want to make a baby blanket? Again this is the most phenomenal easy pattern that looks fabulous from both sides of the fence.
