KNIT WINTER OLYMPICS

Knit Winter Olympics will be starting on February 12th. We found a great kit that many of us will be doing. I've left the sweater on the mannequin for you to share. We will be starting our Winter Knitting Olympics at the Olympic Opening Ceremony on February 12th from 6-8pm. Anyone who chooses to attempt the Jacket during the Olympic event will be entered into the "Gold" category for the Olympics. There will be several prizes for each medal level, and one of the prizes for the Gold medal will be a $100.00 gift certificate for Knitique.

The details on the sweater: This is being kitted up with 100% Sport-weight Alpaca. The yarn is held double-stranded on a larger needle, making this an easy to finish project. During the Olympics we will have training sessions almost every day to help keep our knitting athletes motivated. This jacket comes as a kit with all yarn needed, gorgeous handcrafted ceramic buttons to match (which they choose), and the pattern. There are over 65 gorgeous colors to choose from.

We will be placing our order on February 1st. If you prepay in full you will receive a 10% discount on the kits.

Keep the spirit alive, and join us in our 2nd annual Knitting Olympics.

Small Print:
To enter the Knitting Olympics all yarn must be purchased at Knitique. The different medal levels are as follows:

Bronze: Knit up to 599 yds

Silver: Knit up to 999 yds

Gold: Knit over 1000 yds.

You will receive an entry into the drawing if your item is finished by the end of the Olympics. You can either bring in your finished object for a picture or you can send in a digital picture BY THE THE CLOSING CEREMONIES. ONE ENTRY PER PERSON.

For the Love of Knitting

I'm sure you'll notice the calendar is not available on the side bar. We had a computer hard drive crash on our shop's computer instigated by my beautifully talented six year old. We've had it fixed and upgraded but some of the programs we used to put the calendar on the site are still missing. I'm hoping on Tuesday to be able to fix the kinks and have it up here. In the meantime we've got lots of copies at the shop. And if I do say it again, we've outdone ourselves once again. You'll love what we've got planned this month. Fabulous, Fun Classes.

Beware of 6 year olds with an aptitude for pressing multiple buttons at once.

Back to our Regular Scheduled Program

We had an incredible day yesterday, with over a dozen people waiting in line for the doors to open. I know it sounds crazy to some of you, but the New Year's Day Sale is something we all look forward to. What better way to start your day then sitting in your pajamas, enjoying an incredible breakfast feast, and enjoying a Store-wide Sale. The perfect way to start the New Year.

As of today, we will be open our regular hours. Today will be the first day of our Finish your old projects. I've told several of you at the shop that my Knitting New Year's Resolutions is at the beginning of the month, I have to finish one old project then I can start a new one. I've got a perfect first project to finish, slippers for the little boy. I just have one cuff and a sole, maybe an hours worth of knitting, sew then, and felt them when he get back from his Auntie's.

It's a good thing too, because yesterday at the shop we found the perfect "FAST" pattern to knit up a jacket. I want to swatch and get started for the class we will be hosting on Friday nights. Nothing gets me motivated quicker than a super fast project that I can knit in a few days and wear it next week.
