So What's New!!!

Spring Yarns are continuing to be dropped off by Trip, our handsome U.P.S. driver...

New Yarns:

Hemp for Knitting

Linda D-H, has been knitting with hemp or linen for the past year. I've finally brought it in, and not a moment too soon. It is lovely, the colors are lovely. I can't wait to knit with it. We've brought in most of their pattern line. Just remember with hemp, it's much nicer after you've washed it.

We've brought in every color of the Allhemp6 DK weight
Gauge: 22 sts & 28 rows over 4 inches (10 cm)

100% Long Fiber Hemp
Hand/machine wash
Lay flat to dry

New Magazines: Interweave Knits, Interweave Crochet, Vogue and many more.

I looked at the hemp and liked the colors, but it seemed a tad, just a trifle STIFF. You've got a pattern for a kid's sweater, but unless it softens up mightily...I can just hear the kid going "Oooo, scratchy, wah....!"

Fear not - it softens with wash and wear - just cold water and no dryer. It's eventually "Like budda"
