Knitting Daily, Interweave's online knitting community, presents a contest to promote New Year shopping habits at local yarn shops: Knitting Daily readers can enter to win a yarn spree at their LYS! Contestants simply visit Knitting Daily's Yarn Spree webpage, provide their contact information and the name of their favorite LYS, and are automatically entered to win a LYS yarn spree. They could win up to $300 in yarn from your shop! Three winners will be chosen at random and will have an opportunity to shop for free yarn, needles, books, and magazines at their favorite LYS compliments of Knitting Daily. Yep, Knitting Daily is footing the bill. Sandi Wiseheart, Knitting Daily's hostess, will announce the winners in January 2008.
First place: $300 gift certificate to your LYS Second place: $200 gift certificate to your LYSThird place: $100 gift certificate to your LYS
“After spoiling family and friends with handmade gifts over the holidays, January should be the month for yarn lovers to spoil themselves. We’re excited to be offering this opportunity to three lucky readers,” says Wiseheart. “Local yarn shops win big here, too, since Knitting Daily will be purchasing the gift certificates for the finalists who nominated their shop.” Entries must be completed by December 31, 2007.
