We wish you the happiest Halloween filled with wonderful memories, Halloween Candy smells wafting up to your nose, and little ghosts and goblins that bright delight to your knit night.
It's not too late to start knitting pumpkins of your own. We will be hosting our absolute last pumpkin class this year, on Tuesday, November 1st from 6-9pm. Not to worry, there is no pre-work, it's quick, fun, and a perfect addition to your holiday decor. Even better, you'll be perfecting your double point work. Pumpkins can be used as a decoration from September through November so this makes a long lasting decoration.

November's Jewels
We've received lots of inquires about the sweater of the month for November. November's project is made out of slightly thick thin yarn, from the bottom up with great fitting tips, and a neckline that will be flattering on just about anyone.
With a full range of sizes this is sure to fit all size bodies. It doesn't take a ton of yarn, nor is the yarn overly expensive. To me, it's a perfect fit..., for a perfect pattern and a great yarn.
We will be offering this class on Friday nights, or if it works for you, you can learn this in one of our All Skills Classes.
We just received a restock of this yarn today, and we are open until 8pm so come in while we have plenty of selections. Or call us at 916.714.7719 and we can ship to you.

What's Hot in Fashion?
Teresa took this picture on one of her latest adventures. She's recently moved and captured the essence of what's fashionable this year. Lots of knitting, lots of texture.
If anyone is in the city or sees a window display with knitting take a picture post to the group. I'd love to see more knitting windows. I'll post several that I've found. Can't wait to see what you all find. Cause you know if it's in a window display it's hot, hot, hot right now. On a recent trip to Macy's, Style & Co, one of Macy's own brands was filled to the brim with all kinds of sweater dresses. In my mind, sweater dresses are for the tall and svelte, but in a recent new publication from Interweave Knits, Knit Wear, I found a sweater dress that would look perfect on me. Now, I'll definitely have to make it longer, and I'll definitely be wearing some Spanx underneath them. After all who couldn't use a little help with smoothing the lumps.

Continuing Education for the Knitter
We've received the first of the series in the Knit along with Knit and Purl Hunter. This is the second series of Knitalongs and the first was a smashing success. Come on down, choose your color and go online to the website we've provided for your weekly clues. This is a mystery knitalong and you get the clues on a weekly basis. The nice thing about this knitalong is it's in bigger yarn on bigger needles, so it will be much easier to finish these projects.
Michelle's website says:
“Progressive Needles:
Continuing Education for the Knitter”
This upcoming KAL will feature a mystery project each month, for 4 months! While we can’t give you too many details, we can share the basics:
October: Create a knitted shawlette with Simplicity by HiKoo – 3 skeins, US #10 32″ circular needle.
November: Luxury toe up socks knit with Royal, a sumptuous yet durable sock yarn from Austermann - 2 skeins, US #1 (2.5mm) needles.
January: Mittens worked out of HiKoo’s Simpliworsted – 2 skeins, US #5 and #7.
February: A sock encore, again making use of Austermann’s Royal – 2 skeins in contrasting colors, US #1 (2.5mm) needles.
Video guidance will be provided on the Knit Purl Hunter website. Weekly and monthly prizes will be awarded by skacel collection, inc.

Last Chance for Plenty of Pumpkins
We will be having our last Plenty of Pumpkins Class this month on Tuesday, October 4th at 11am and 6 pm. This is a quick knit, where in the 3 hour class you should finish one pumpkin in it's entirety. Bring US 5 double points and dried lentils. We've got plenty of yarn for this knit. With one skein of orange yarn you can make up to 3 pumpkins, which makes it a perfect gift for a teacher or friend, or do as I did and put them on your fall table runner.
Be sure to call Knitique at 916.714.7719 to reserve your spot today.
