Blocking Services or Private Lessons

If you've ever finished knitting a lace shawl, you've likely noticed that it comes out looking a little wonky. Or maybe you knit a sweater and the hem didn't lay quite right. That's because knits need to be blocked to make them perfect. We offer a variety of blocking services to whip those knits into shape. You can take a blocking lesson from Susan, our blocking genius, or, if you don't have the time, drop off you're project and we'll block it for you. Whatever route you choose, we know you won't be disappointed.

We've been inundated with calls yesterday, asking if we would be open during "the storm of the century". New Addi-Art Needles have arrived!

The addi-Art '24K' is sure to be on every knitter's holiday shopping list this year. Unique in all respects, the limited edition needle was handcrafted with great patience and care. This once in a lifetime creation features the gleam of 24 K gold. The construction of a needle this special required the utmost attention to detail. Thus, for a single day in the fall of 2014, addi devoted their daily production to focus all efforts on this individual item. Keeping with addi's hands-on tradition of manufacturing, each individual needle was painstakingly polished to bring out the most in the gold. The final product gently blurs the line between form and function, constructing a piece of art, with purpose.

Words with Mel has put out the call for hand knit or crocheted washcloths to be donated to those who don't even have the basic necessities for hygiene, like toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, and washcloths. The initial call for help asked for us to cut up old towels into squares for washcloths, but Mel thought, we can do one better than that. Why not give them something that will not only last longer, but will be filled with love? It only takes one small skein of cotton yar...n to make a washcloth and just a few hours of your time to make one. FREE Love of the Game Scarf Class

Did someone say FREE class? Yes we did! Whether you are a sports enthusiast or you are dragged to the game, we all want to show our team spirit. While sitting at a Cal Berkley Football game I wanted to design a scarf that would be unisex, offer two sizes for those who like more or less scarf, and most especially be a project you could knit while watching a game. Dream in Color 2014-15 Dream Club
