Come Weather the "Storm of the Century" with us

We've been inundated with calls yesterday, asking if we would be open during "the storm of the century". I want to reassure everyone that Knitique will be open for regular business hours to help you with your Holiday gifts and show you some of the quick one nighters, yes, one nighters to help you finish your holiday gifts. 

After all weathering out the storm with your fiber friends, enjoying hot coffee or hot chocolate is how I want to spend a rainy, blustery day.

We've added more items for the sample sale. Beautiful knits that we've created and don't worry, you can take all the credit for knitting them.

Opening a box from UPS is like Christmas morning here at Knitique.  We are always excited to see what goodies they hold.  One of our latest boxes held the amazing lotions from B. New Anzula Yarns Trunk Show!

Fiesta Yarns Trunk Show has arrived!

The stunning trunk show from Fiesta Yarns has just arrived, and it's even more amazing than we imagined. The garments and accessories show just how beautiful their yarns are. We especially love the easy to knit Shoulder Scarf pattern that is knit with just one skein of Rayon Boucle in their Inspiration colorway. New Addi-Art Needles have arrived!

The addi-Art '24K' is sure to be on every knitter's holiday shopping list this year. Unique in all respects, the limited edition needle was handcrafted with great patience and care. This once in a lifetime creation features the gleam of 24 K gold. The construction of a needle this special required the utmost attention to detail. Thus, for a single day in the fall of 2014, addi devoted their daily production to focus all efforts on this individual item. Keeping with addi's hands-on tradition of manufacturing, each individual needle was painstakingly polished to bring out the most in the gold. The final product gently blurs the line between form and function, constructing a piece of art, with purpose.

The addi-Art 24 K is a 32" US 6 circular needle for just $99.99. Only 500 sets were made and only 250 of those were brought into the United States. We were lucky enough to place our order early. More than 10% of what's available in the United States shipped to Knitique in Elk Grove, CA.

Washcloths for Charity

Words with Mel has put out the call for hand knit or crocheted washcloths to be donated to those who don't even have the basic necessities for hygiene, like toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, and washcloths. The initial call for help asked for us to cut up old towels into squares for washcloths, but Mel thought, we can do one better than that. Why not give them something that will not only last longer, but will be filled with love? It only takes one small skein of cotton yar...n to make a washcloth and just a few hours of your time to make one. Stop by the boutique today and we'll gladly help you pick out a pattern and some yarn to get started. Please make sure to ship your washcloths so they will be received by October 10th.
