Wool Addicts Yarn Tasting & Trunk Show

We are so excited about the BIG yarn reveal on Friday, November 16th . We will be unveiling five exciting new gorgeous lines of yarns brought to you by our friends at Berroco. Wool Addicts is a brand new collection of five brilliant yarns: Air, Earth, Love, Fire, and Water! From the coziness of virgin merino wool to the exquisite softness of Alpaca, there is a yarn base and color for everyone.

Friday’s event will be a yarn tasting and trunk show. Knitique Addicts will receive enough yarn to knit a small cowl. In addition, you will have the opportunity to see a large variety of stunning designs out of these new yarns as well as trying on all the garments and accessories. We will be debuting the yarn collection at this event so we will have every base and every color in stock. You’ll be ready to cast on for your favorite garment right away.

The Art of Dyeing

Have you ever wondered how your most favorite yarn dyer's colors come out so beautiful?  Alexandra B. the amazing dyer of Alexandra’s Crafts will be our guest at a once in a lifetime event.   We are hosting an exclusive dye studio at our boutique all weekend long.

In the Beginning: Intro to Yarn Dyeing

You'll get to learn about three different dye techniques followed by the opportunity to practice one of these methods on enough amazing yarn to knit a large shawl!  You’ll even be able to choose from three of our favorite Alexandra’s Crafts bases, Sun River (70% Superwash Wool, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere), Silverton (70% Superwash Wool, 20% Tencel, 10% Nylon), or Black Butte (60% Superwash Merino, 20% Yak, 20% Silk) for your dyeing experience.  Class is $100 which includes all the supplies to dye 2 skeins of yarn of your choice.  The yarn alone is up to an $85 value, so don’t wait to sign up ASAP; we have a very limited amount of spaces for this once in a lifetime event. 

Get Gradiated! Learn to Dye Gradients

 Want to expand your dyeing skills even further?  Alexandra will also be offering an additional class on how to dye gradient yarns, a technique that most dyers are not willing to share, meaning you’ll get an exclusive look into the inner workings of your favorite yarns.  You’ll get two skeins in your choice of Bling Bling Sister, Sister, or Double Sock.   We do ask that you take the introductory class before attempting.

Extra skeins and dye kits will also be available, which means you can get enough yarn to dye a sweater.  Or, if you’re hooked, you can take home all the supplies you need to keep experimenting with color!
