In other news, I've loved the rain today, it's a nice respite from the heat of the weekend. Plus I just planted a small veggie garden so it's perfect that I don't have to do major watering. A win-win I'd say.

New Spring yarns are arriving daily, and I've got a fabulous FREE scarf class that I'll be announcing this week. I'm just finishing the last rows of the scarf and can't wait to wear it in the shop.

Crazy for Chemo Caps

Please join us this Sunday, April 11th, 2010 from 12-4pm for our monthly Chemo Cap Event. Bring a leftover, DK or Worsted Weight Yarn, US6-8 needles (Circular) and a desire to help someone in our local area. We have donated yarn if you'd like, and have several easy and fun patterns.

Since we started making hats in June 2005 we've donated over 5000 hats, that's about a 1000 a year. We've got a great group that makes hats on their, but we'd love to have you come in, and make a quick cap for someone who needs it.

Can't wait to see you there!

Have you Yelped?

I'm not sure if you are all familiar with Yelp. It's a great place to go when you are out of town and want to find out the best place for breakfast in your local town. While on a recent visit to Ventura, I was looking for the "Best Breakfast" I have the Yelp application on my iphone and found the perfect place for breakfast that filled my family up for at least a few hours. If you haven't visited Yelp, you've got to try it out. Knitique even has a page on Yelp. If you've got a minute and wouldn't mind writing a review, we'd love for out of towners to hear your opinions on our Fabulous Yarn Boutique.

Now on to Knitting news. Gorgeous Cottons, and Summer Blends have been arriving in our store daily the last few weeks. We've found some new yarns we couldn't live without and some old favorites that work year after year.

Easter Sunday

We will be closed on Sunday, April 4th for us to spend our day with our Special Peeps. We hope you enjoy your day with your family and we will be open, refreshed and with fabulous new things on Tuesday April 6th. Enjoy your day, knit a lot and eat your Easter Candy in one fell swoop.

Knit and Nosh this Friday, April 2

Come join us this Friday Night, from 5-9 pm for an evening out with friends.

We've finished up our April Calendar, it's wonderful as usual with a large variety of project and skill building classes. I'll be posting it on the website, just as soon as my Fabulous Friday All Skills Classes are finished today.

Bring a dish to share, and join us for an evening filled with love, laughter, knitting and of course Good Eats.

We are thinking about doing massages at the new place in Elk Grove, so if nothing else, come knit, come eat, and enjoy a little relaxation before your family arrives on Sunday.
