This is an amazing short row scarf using two different colors of fingering weight yarn. The color combinations are gorgeous and each yarn gives you a different look.

This class will be on Saturday September 10th from 11-2. The one session class will be $30.00 dollars plus your material cost.

If you have sock yarns in your stash this is a great stash buster. If you don't then come on into the boutique we have some gorgeous sock yarns that would make beautiful Stained Glass scarves. All one will need is a skein of variegated and a skein of solid yarn each at approx 400 yards apiece. Also needed is a size 5 needle.

Open for Late Night Tonight Until 8pm

Tonight is late night knitting till 8pm at the Boutique. We'd love to have you join us for our weekly Wednesday Night, Late Night Social Event. Bring an unfinished project, and see how fast you can finish when you are surrounded by like-minded people.

We also have an all skills class tonight from 6-8pm so if you are having problems with your projects help is available.

If you just need some time away from responsibilities then tonight is a great time for some socializing and knitting.

New Silk Yarns in at the Boutique

New Yarn New Yarn!! We just received some great new silk yarns from Alchemy! Just in time for a great FREE class coming in September! The yarns are so soft and gorgeous with some great vibrant and rich colors. The Free Cowl class takes two skeins of the silk purse and one skein of the haiku! Come on down to the Boutique and get your supplies before we run out. Also ask about the great Free class we are having for this great yarn on September 6th and 10th. I'll be in the Boutique today for a rare Sunday to teach the All Skills Class from 12-2.

Soft and pretty cloud of mohair and silk with sparkle! Great for accents or holding with another yarn for some added fuzziness or use it on it's own for a light as air scarf or shawl!

I'm currently working on a new project using 1 skein of 2 colors, can't wait to show you when I'm done. This is the same weight as Rowan Kid Silk Haze, so click here to see the 1000 pages of projects on Ravelry for this yarn. It's delicious to work with using a US 6 needle or higher.

August Knit N Nosh

This month's Knit n Nosh is this Friday August 5th from 5-9pm. We hope to see everyone here with some nosh and knitting. For anyone who doesn't know about our monthly get together; it is just another excuse for all of us knitters to come and share what we have been working on with fellow like minded people. Lou Lou

We are raffling off Autographed books as well as other knitting necessities in September; all you have to do is bring in old fashioned yarn balls in shades of pink and lime green. If you are not sure of color come in to get approval of the yarn beforehand. We would love to help you if you have any questions. So pull out your odds and ...ends and start winding ladies and gentlemen. A good way to get a bigger ball without using a ton of yarn is to use a Styrofoam ball as the center and wind the yarn around.

For every yarn ball wound and turned in you will get a raffle ticket to be entered into our drawing. We are limiting the amount of yarn balls to three a person, but they need to be three different colors in order to get three tickets. So if you have two of the same color pink and a lime green you only get two tickets, the pink ones count as one.

This fun event is not limited to local Knitique Addicts but Knitique Addicts around the world. All you have to do is take a picture of your yarn balls and send them to our email address to get approval and then send the balls through snail mail. We will be accepting Yarn balls through till August 31, 2011.

Free Beaded Bracelet Class

This weekend, Saturday July 30th, we are hosting a great simple beaded bracelet class from 3-6pm. If you have always wondered how to knit with beads this is a great class to introduce to the art of beads. We have many great color combinations of yarn and beads to choose from! Come on down to the Boutique and pick your favorite color combinations.


These bracelets are a great gift for any tween, teen or young woman. This bracelet is a hot item this year with the younger crowds. Even celebrities like Jessica Alba and Halle Berry are wearing these great bracelets to dress up any outfit.

New Bracelet Kits at the Boutique

Who knew you could knit yourself jewelry? We have been getting in lots of bracelet and necklace kits in the past week. The bracelet is a great way to introduce yourself to some easy bead work. This wrap around bracelet is great for any casual or dressy outfit. We have so many great color combinations they are all very beautiful. From Red, Olive, Purple to Brown and even black. You can even pull out some yarn in your stash and hit your local bead store to make bunches and bunches of these great bracelets. Free Summer Sweater

NEW Classic Elite Sprout colors coming in soon to the Boutique. We are anticipating a big shipment any day now for our Free Summer Sweater knit a long classes. If you are interested in signing up for this sweater space is limited and filling up fast. This is a great sweater for any level knitter and will build upon any skills you may already have. Even us as experienced knitters learned something new with this sweater. If you have never made a sweater this one is a great first project because of the big yarn and needles, it will go by quickly. The construction is also great for a newbie, there are no seams which means no sewing!

If you have any questions about this sweater or maybe want to try it on to see how it fits come on down to the Boutique and look at our sample. We have some great colors on the shelves to choose from as well as some great colors on order. We are very excited to start this class and watch as the yarn becomes a plethora of beautiful sweaters.

Free Washcloth Class this Saturday

This is a great washcloth pattern even for a beginner knitter. The pattern is simple using two separate skeins of yarn in order to create this great textured pattern. Late Night Knitting

Come join us tonight for Late Night Knitting and Crochet. We've received boxes of new yarn this week. From striped cotton to delicious striped sequin yarns, we are excited to add to the shelves at Knitique.

Plus if you preordered the Lantern Moon Ebony or Rosewood Interchangeable Needles they came in today. We will be doing another round of preorders for those who waited until we did it again. If you haven't tried out these interchangeable you'll want to come in and give it a whirl. These are the finest interchangeable needles on the market.

Free Summer Sweater Knit-A-long

We are having a great Summer Sweater knit a long in July and August. This sweater is made from a great organic cotton yarn made by Classic Elite Yarns. The yarn comes in a wide variety of great colors and the yarn has such a great texture knit up. This is a great intro to raglan top down sweaters. There is a bit of lace on it but if you can k2tog and yo then you are good to go for this sweater. The materials along with the yarn will be Classic Elite's pattern book called Seaside and a size needle to obtain the correct gauge. Come on down to the Boutique and we will help you gather the materials for this Knit a long.

There are many different Knit a long sessions to choose from depending on your schedule this summer. We are having two sessions on Tuesday July 19th; one is from 12-2 and the other is from 6-8pm. These sessions continue into August on the 2nd and 16th. The next session will begin on Friday July 22nd from 6-8pm. Continuing into August on the 12th and 19th. The last session will be on Saturdays beginning on July 23rd from 4-6pm and following on August 6th and 20th. We hope there is a series of sessions that will work with everybody's schedule. Brand New Yarns to the Boutique

We had a wonderful day unpacking all of the great boxes dropped off by our wonderful UPS and Fed Ex Men. We have lots of lovely new cotton yarns just in time for our wonderful dish cloth classes coming up this month. Below you can see some great pictures of the variegated as well as some great solid colors. We just love the variegated colors and the names are really great like Watermelon Patch or Blueberry Jam. Some really great summer colors and the striping is very appealing to the eye.


Also in today and Brand New is a yarn called Polaris. This is a wonderful sparkly yarn in tones of black, gray, white and natural. The way the striping comes out with this yarn is beautiful as you can see below in the gorgeous wrap. We have many different color combinations from black and white to more gray and natural tones as well as white and natural. Come on into the Boutique so we can show you some of these great yarns and projects to make with them.
