This week in classes....

Ruffles and Roses

Ruffles and RosesThis is a great project for any knitter and even better to give as a gift. The yarn is an eco alpaca so soft, warm, and comes in all natural colors.
The Rose is what makes this project though. So easy to make and is a great addition to any project. Even if you take the class to learn how to make the rose it would be worth every penny. This is a great rose to add to any bag, or scarf or even on a headband for a great extra something.
Class will be Friday May 27th from 6-9pm and will be $30.00. The materials for this class are two skeins of the eco alpaca and any odds and ends you have in your stash for the flowers as well as a size 9 needle. Please be sure to call ahead to reserve your space (916) 714-7719.

Ez Fair Isle Hat

Ever wondered about how fair isle works? This is a great beginner class into working with two colored yarns at the same time. There is a bit of pre work to do before class this weekend so be sure to start this one early. The class will be this Saturday May 28th from 12 to 3. We look forward to seeing you for this class!
Fair Isle Hat

Baby Hats

Next Tuesday May 31st from 11- 1 there will be a beach ball baby girl hat class (featured on the right). This is a great hat made flat with one seam but the yarn is what really makes this hat very cool. Made with one skein of our Bambino Taffy by Be Sweet. This class is a great way to learn some easy lace work as well as easy short rows.

If a baby girl hat isn't what you need to make and you want something for a little boy, we also have a little sunhat pattern (featured on the left). Either one could be made in this class and both are done in the Bambino Taffy yarn. We look forward to seeing you next week.

Qikiuk is here!!

We just recived some really soft and warm yarn called Qiviuk. This fiber is made from the under coat of Musk Ox, because the fiber is so rare and a long process to make this is an expensive ball of yarn. So we are offering a FREE class in June making a scarf. This is a very pretty lace scarf using a size 7 needle with 3mm Swarovski Crystals at both ends. We have skeins of 100% Qiviuk as well as blends with Merino Wool and Silk. The colors are gorgeous and very jewel toned. Come on in and ask us all about this wonderful new yarn.

Correction on the Sock Class this Month

There was a typo in the earlier post about classes. The sock class is actually three sessions not two so the class will be Saturday May 7th from 1-3. The following sessions will be Saturday May 14th from 1-4pm and Saturday May 28th from 1-3pm. Making this class $70 not $50 plus the cost of materials. We are very sorry about the confusion!!! Thank you.

FREE Farmer's Market Bag Class

We've got our latest shipment of Kollage "Feed Your Creativity" Kits in. Given the nature of the project I ordered extra kits so we've got plenty for those who want to join us in this fun knitalong. With the purchase of the kit you get the 2 session class for free. The class dates are Friday, April 22 & 29th from 3-5pm.,

Terrific Tote by Barb Kervin is a lace market bag made out of Corntastic, our 100% corn yarn. This yarn is a very durable, machine washable/dryable fiber that is perfect for market bags. Why, you ask? Because the fiber will stretch to fit all the goodies from the farmer's market, but when you take all the items out...the bag will will bounce back to its original shape!

The stitch pattern for the bag was taken from our very popular Smoky Quartz Lace Shawl. Give us a call at 916.914.7719 to order your kit today.
